Mrs. Elisa Contrevo is the Director of Choral Activities at Glassboro High School in Glassboro, New Jersey. She received her BM in Vocal Music Education and BA in Subject Matter Teaching from Rowan University (‘15). Elisa is currently in her 9th year of teaching, having spent the first three years of her career at Mary F. Janvier School in Franklinville, NJ, before being named Choral Director at Glassboro High School in 2018.

At GHS, Elisa directs the Select Choir and Concert Choir. She also teaches Music Theory and Piano, is the Vocal Music Director of the Spring Musical, and serves as the advisor of Tri-M Music Honors Society. Elisa’s choirs have earned superior ratings at choral festivals and perform in a wide variety of school and community events throughout the year.

Outside of school, Elisa enjoys spending time with her family and friends, long walks on the beach, and unapologetically binge-watching trash television. She can usually be found indulging in a giant cup of coffee or wandering aimlessly around Target. Or both. Elisa lives in Woolwich Township with her loving and supportive husband, Christopher, their wonderfully feisty daughter Aurelia, and their newborn, Adelina.

Elisa is beyond thrilled and incredibly honored to direct the All South Jersey Junior High Choir this year, and is excited for the opportunity to make music and memories with this group of exceptional students! Elisa would like to express her deepest gratitude to her family and friends for their unwavering love, support, and encouragement.
